snacks cannot display the content of the search file

All files were downloaded correctly and are correctly found during search, but they cannot be displayed using snacks. Checking the file using the cli / other editor, correctly shows that the file has the correct content.

Unfortunately the snacks support was from an external contributor, I'm not using it myself, so I won't check this, but pull requests are welcome of course.

I am using snacks.nvim and I do not have this problem.
