How to install dolphin-tool-js for Windows?

Hi,

I'm trying to install dolphin-tool from https://github.com/emmercm/dolphin-tool-js. I tired the "npm install --save dolphin-tool" command but I don't have npm installed, so the command is not recognized. Do I have to install npm or is there another way?

Also, do I even need to install dolphin-tool-js? I was confused because I read .rvz is now natively supported or is that only with dolphin-tool? I'm trying to install it because I'm getting a "dolphin-tool not found" warning.

Hi @HDZEE, no manual installation is required, Igir comes bundled with all the binaries required. But I see why the language at https://igir.io/input/reading-archives/ would be confusing, I'll try to make it clearer.

Thanks @emmercm. So should I just ignore the warnings it gives about "dolphin-tool not found" when running the MAME-Redump DAT?

What OS are you on? There should be builds available for the most common ones.

I’m on Windows 11. Using the latest version of igir too.

Are you running Igir from the compiled version in the GitHub release? Or some other way?

I'm running the latest executable from the GitHub releases: https://github.com/emmercm/igir/releases/download/v3.4.2/igir-3.4.2-Windows-x64.zip

would that be the reason?
