Missing Moderator Buttons (Whiteboard, Captions, etc.) after Successful JWT Authentication

Hi,
after logging in and joining a Jitsi meeting room using the link generated by Galaxy,I'm finding that several moderator-specific buttons are missing from the Jitsi Meet interface. Features like Whiteboard,Subtitles are not available/visible.
How can i solve this problem?Thank you.

This should be related how you configure your Jitsi setup. Do you have additional prosody modules?

After joining the meeting, my identity is shown as moderator, but the buttons for the whiteboard and subtitles are not displayed.

I have configured the subtitle feature according to the jigasi documentation. Before setting up authentication, I could directly create a meeting and see the whiteboard and subtitle buttons. I'm not sure if there's an issue with my security domain settings. Here are the steps I took:

First, I enabled XMPP authentication based on this documentation: https://jitsi.github.io/handbook/docs/devops-guide/secure-domain.

Later, to integrate with Galaxy, I switched to JWT authentication.
I modified this configuration file: /etc/prosody/conf.avail/[your-hostname].cfg.lua

authentication = "token"  -- Changed from "internal-hashed" to "token"  
-- Then added or uncommented the following lines  
app_id="galaxy-schedule-550668"  
app_secret="xxxxxx"  
allow_empty_token = false  

In this file /etc/jitsi/jicofo/jicofo.conf:

jicofo {  
  authentication: {  
    enabled: true  
    type: JWT  -- Changed from XMPP to JWT  
    login-url: jitsi-meet.example.com  
  }  
}  

Do I need to show any other configuration files?

The authentication should be disabled for Jicofo. The token authentication and Jicofo auth don't work great together.

Thanks for your help. Another problem I've encountered is that anyone joining via a Galaxy-generated link is automatically granted moderator status, which shouldn't happen. But with Jitsi's own invitation links, this doesn't occur. How can I fix this?

There are two types of key for meeting:

• host (moderator) key
• guest key

You should share host key only with moderators.
And guest key with non-moderator users.

I understand there are two types of keys. Even when using guest links, I keep getting moderator status after joining the meeting.😔

If I understand correctly, your setup sets the user as moderator if she has a token (without checking affiliation or moderator field in the token payload).

You should install/enable token_affiliation module to set the user level.
