Why?

When managing applications it is very nice to have an administrative page that shows the version of the application.

There is currently no plan to add a graphical/web based administrative page. However the app has an in-built cli for admin tasks.

In the future you will be able to see the version through this cli, although at the moment running -v or --version shows unknown as the output.
