[Request] A new tag for forked projects

Hello, hope you all well.

We got discontinued as tag but i believe it will be nice to have a field/tag something like
forkedFrom which we can point the base product ( even if the releated product is not discontinued

Sure we can also add forkedBy to make things bidirectional

Usecases :

• MariaDb -> Mysql
• Ros2 -> Ros
• Fedora -> Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Centos -> Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Rocky Linux -> Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Valkey -> Redis
• ....

Why a dedicated fields ? What do you intend to do with it ?

Agree with @marcwrobel, we are not a "software-information-database". This would be more relevant for something like Wikidata which already has a "Based on" Property. This is already used for eg, to link mariadb to mysql: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q787177
