In this, he basically created two new modes a LLama4 and Micromanager. The LLama4 uses a different API configuration which uses LLama4 as the mode ;-).

The Micromanager is derived from the Boomerang mode, but it is advised to use only the Architect and LLama4 Mode. LLama4 is used for the coding tasks.

In a first step, I will create different API configurations (gemini-2.5-free, gemini-flash-2.0-free, deepseek-v3, quasar, LLama4 Scout,... through openrouter) and choose one of them in each of the modes from your .roomodes. Maybe, I will create additional Coding modes for simple, medium and complex tasks, as shown in the diagram of the X thread. But this will need a adjustment of the boomerang mode to reason about the complexity of the next coding task.

I am very new to roocode. So first of all, I have to figure out how to configure all this. When I am finished, I am happy to share the relevant files and instructions.

Just a quick update from my side.

Using different API Configs for the roomodes works really good.

I am using these models currently:

• Boomerang: Gemini-2.5
• Archtiect: Gemini-2.5
• Ask: Gemini-2.0-Thinking
• Auto-Coder: Optimus Alpha
• Documentation: LLama4 Scout
• Optimizer: LLama4 Maverick

I have also setup API configs for deepseek-v3, olympiccoder and qwen-coder. For simpler coding tasks I am switching Auto-Coder or Optimizer to one of these.

Especially for bigger projects, im planning to modify the mode instructions to first generate an architecture, an implementation plan and create seperate files on memory bank for each subtask. After combining with your approach, i think it will be much more efficient and robust.
