The aur packaged https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/i3pystatus-git include 2 patch, that are PR waiting to be merged, I've also submitted some PR to fix some issues #868 and #873 waiting since May 2024...

Is there any chance this project still be alive ?

Its still maintained, albeit by a few people when they have time...
I'm unusure about the AUR package state, ive always used my own locl PKGBUILD that installs i3pystatus as an editable package so i can make local changes.

I have been keeping the i3pystatus-git package on the AUR with the patches needed. I also sent an email to enkore a while back asking if he wanted help with the project. The way it is on the current branch now, it's broken. There are a couple of PR's that need to be merged.

whats broken in current at the moment? I've always ran from current and i havent hit any issues?
