All, or most, of this is already possible on Ente. Family plan is not at all related to sharing! Family plan is for sharing of the underlying storage space, not for sharing the photos itself. Ente already has shared albums which work mostly the way you describe (with the exception of support for usernames instead of email, though that's something we also plan to do soon). |

It would be nice if albums could be shared with people even if they are not part of a family plan. StoryArk is a good example of the kind of sharing that I would want to be possible with Ente.
Please read up on this page how sharing works there to see what I mean.
So what if within Ente, people can make groups of people based on either the email addresses associated with the friends they wanna share with, or preferably based on a username (@handle) that each user has chosen (to not leak the email address). And then you can create groups of users that represent different social circles that may wanna share certain memories digitally. And to facilitate this you can create an album for an event and make that album accessible to a group and any group member can view, download from, and upload to that album. If the album gets deleted or group members get kicked out, they should only keep access to the photos that they contributed. Each photo only counts towards the storage quota of the person who uploaded it.
Something like that would be great :)
