I guess this might be more a problem of the underlying OS itself, I mean you'd want all your data to be encrypted at some point on your device. |

On-device encryption would be extremely valuable if a phone is lost, especially in cases where a lock screen bypass exploit exists. Users should be able to enable separate on-device encryption for their data. Ente should automatically clear on-device encryption keys from memory after a configurable period of inactivity (for example, 24 hours without unlocking the app). This would ensure that locally stored data is always fully encrypted at rest when the app is not actively in use, providing stronger protection in case a device is lost or compromised.
