APK isnt downloading

I compiled it & i get this error:

i found equinox 0.1.6 on the aur (i hope it's official and not dubious - i'm an arch noob, so this is easier for me)
installed it without modification, then just launched it both with the .desktop shortcut and through command line (as suggested)

from what i can see, there's a mount issue, which could be the culprit
if it's a permission issue, i don't know how to give an app the right permissions without launching as root

also, to check, i did ls /var/lib/equinox/images && du -h /var/lib/equinox/images, and the results were empty, so i assume nothing was written

(using stable cachyos with znver4 - fork of arch)

Can you force Equinox to reinit itself by running:

sudo rm -rf /var/lib/equinox && rm -rf ~/.local/state/equinox && equinox_gui onboarding?

i think i'm causing problems by having missing permissions
for exemple, i've had someone tell me i had to give PTRACE_MODE_ATTACH_REALCREDS to another program in selinux because i have restrictive defaults
but this is not something i know how to do, and i don't know what equinox needs

any help?

I have no idea, I am not a contributor so we might have to rise an specific awareness that this is happening, which will bring attention. For I am correct about this.
