This is because Axelle's processing code for the <g> element does not work anymore due to the fact that we implemented the new taxonomy system. I warned you that implementing new stuff that far into the project was going to create problems, but you did not listen to me.

I thus restored the old taxonomy, just for critical editions. Now, if you want to add a symbol, you will need to add it both to the "new" taxonomy (project-documentation/DHARMA_glyphTaxonomy) and to the old one that is used by critical editions (project-documentation/gaiji/DHARMA_gaiji.tsv).

In this case, I think a better solution might be to instruct editors of DiplEd/CritEd files to specify tokens from the new taxonomy in XML comments, while using only ASCII placeholders as per (new) TG 4.4.3.1 without wrapping them in <g> elements in their XML files.
