We sometimes use different words that mean the same thing, which makes it difficult for users to know what we're talking about (e.g. reserved nickname vs a registered nickname). We should try to be consistent with our terms, and honestly probably just go over our text in general to make it easier for peeps not familiar with IRC to read.
Someone suggested using a standard glossary and putting our preferred terms in there. I reckon it's a decent idea: https://github.com/oragono/oragono/wiki/Glossary
