Geth vs Erigon – Which is better to handle 10,000 RPC requests per second?

Hey Team ,

I’m setting up a high-performance public Ethereum RPC infrastructure and need to handle around 10,000 requests per second (mostly eth_call, eth_getLogs, eth_getTransactionByHash, etc.). I want to choose the best execution client for this purpose: Geth or Erigon.

My Main Questions:

• Which client performs better under high RPC load – Geth or Erigon?
• Can Erigon alone handle 10K RPS, or should I scale with multiple instances behind a load balancer?
• Is it possible to run multiple RPC nodes (stateless) using the same Erigon DB to share the load?
• What are the recommended server specs (CPU, RAM, Disk) to achieve this scale?
• Any tuning tips or config suggestions specific to Erigon or Geth for high throughput?
