Unable to add issue tracker when user account is linked to GitHub

My user is linked to my GitHub account and when trying to add GitHub issue tracker I get the following error message: "You must specify your GitHub username and password". This should not be necessary. When entering some random values as username and password it gets added. The issue tracker then use my GitHub OAuth token from my user profile.
