Brigade can run configured local code-review producers and turn normalized findings into reviewed work imports. This is for explicit local review by harnesses such as Codex, Claude Opus with subagents, or custom wrappers.

brigade work review closeout latestinit writes .brigade/reviews.toml. plan validates the local config and shows the exact command, cwd, timeout, target paths, base ref, output path, findings path, and command blockers. run executes only the selected configured reviewer. import-findings reads the run's findings file and appends normalized code-review imports. findings and finding-show inspect imported review findings and their downstream state. closeout summarizes whether a run's findings are pending, dismissed, promoted, completed, or changed and needing re-review.

The findings file may be a JSON list or an object with a findings list. Each finding supports:

Imported findings use source code-review. Brigade preserves reviewer id, review run id, finding id, severity, category, path, line, safe excerpt, rationale, suggested fix, confidence, receipt path, findings path, source item key, and source fingerprint.
brigade work review findings groups imported review findings by reviewer, run id, severity, category, path, inbox status, and resolution state. brigade work review finding-show <finding-id-or-import-id> shows one finding, including its promoted task id, task completion status, dismissal reason, and whether the current findings file has a changed source fingerprint.
brigade work review closeout <run-id> writes closeout.json next to the review receipt and records a compact closeout summary back on the receipt. A finding is treated as resolved when its import was dismissed with a reason or its promoted task is done. Pending imports, promoted but incomplete tasks, not-imported current findings, malformed current findings, and changed source fingerprints keep the closeout unresolved.
When closeout includes completed promoted tasks, Brigade stores review evidence on those task records under metadata.review_closeouts. brigade work task show <task-id> displays the review run id, finding count, unresolved count, and resolved flag for each attached closeout. The latest work session receives the same compact closeout reference when a session artifact is available.
brigade work brief surfaces the latest unclosed review run and top unresolved review finding. brigade work doctor warns when completed review runs have not been closed out, or when review evidence is stale, missing, failed, or malformed under an enabled review config.
Code review execution is explicit. Brigade does not run reviewers from work run, apply code fixes, post GitHub comments, mutate remote services, start daemons, store auth, or promote findings automatically.
Raw stdout and stderr stay in local logs. Work imports receive only redacted summaries and normalized finding fields.
