V2.33 - cannot add stations to memory

I just received my SI4732 (the version with a larger speaker - NO company name). It came with firmware V2.30. I was never able to save a station: - after "Memory" -> "Add", I do not see the name of the station saved, nor do I see it after exiting and re-entering "Memory", or switching off then on the device.

I update the firmware to V2.33 - now I do not see the "Add" option in "Memory" at all, "Memory" is totally empty!

What is going on???

I recently received an 'AMNVOLT' branded one with a metal case, running v2.33 Sep 2025. Through trial and error I figured out you need to long-press on the dial to store or clear memory slots. Previous screenshots and videos shows that the 'add' word would appear, which does not happen in my firmware.

What you need to do it change the frequency, navigate to memory and then the slot you want it to store at. Then long-press the dial (~2 sec) and the frequency will store. If you want to clear a slot, long press on a slot with a frequency to clear it. It does not always seem to work though.

Another option is connect over USB-C, launch a Chrome browser and edit the memory slots via the browser.

Note: you need Chrome or Edge as they support the Web Serial API.

Lastly, you can also use serial over USB, which may be a bit more cumbersome.

Thanks! It sorta work but is very buggy ....

The first time I tuned to a station and tried to save it by long-holding the dial in "Memory", the display turns off and never comes back on. After switching the device off and on and tried the procedure twice more, the station sticks.

Unfortunately, when I tried to save a second station, the same "black screen" happened again, and the station was never saved or appear on the Memory list after trying several times.

Ah, that > 2 sec long press makes the display sleep. You can long press again to wake it back up.

I had the same problem but noticed that it DOES work, you need to press in 0.5 seconds. After a few tries you get used to how long you have to hold it. Not the best implementation but it does avoid accidentally selecting or removing channels.
