Requesting guidance on authorship for PR 1477

I’m looking for guidance on how authorship and contributor recognition work in the ERC process. Here is my PR:

ethereum/ERCs#1477

I made a contribution to ERC-8004 that remains in the current specification, and I opened the PR above to add myself as a co-author. I was previously told that I would not be added as a co-author, even though my contribution was acknowledged elsewhere, for example on Twitter (X).

Could someone clarify how contributor recognition and co-authorship are determined in cases like this, and where questions or disputes about authorship should be raised or resolved?
