VX6 Commercial License Terms

This document defines commercial-use terms for VX6 that are separate from the Apache License 2.0 terms in LICENSE.

1. Licensor

The licensor for these commercial terms is:

  • Suryansh Deshwal ("Licensor")

2. Relationship to Apache-2.0

VX6 is available under Apache-2.0 for open and community use as described in LICENSE.

Any use that qualifies as a Commercial Use under Section 3 of this document requires prior written permission from the Licensor under a separate commercial agreement.

3. Commercial Use Definition

"Commercial Use" includes, without limitation:

  • deploying VX6 in production by or for a legal entity as part of internal business operations;
  • offering VX6 functionality as a hosted service or SaaS;
  • integrating VX6 into paid, subscription, enterprise, or revenue-generating products or offerings;
  • bundling, reselling, white-labeling, OEM distribution, or other paid redistribution of VX6;
  • packaging VX6 with paid support, managed operations, or other paid service bundles.

4. Permission Requirement and Contact

Before any Commercial Use, you must obtain prior written permission from the Licensor.

Commercial permission requests must be submitted through:

No Commercial Use rights are granted unless and until a written commercial agreement is fully executed by the Licensor.

5. Scope of Grant (If Approved)

Any commercial grant is:

  • non-exclusive;
  • limited to the scope expressly written in the signed commercial agreement;
  • revocable at any time before the commercial agreement is fully executed.

No implied rights are granted. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Patent and Trademark

This document does not grant any patent or trademark rights except as explicitly stated in a signed commercial agreement.

Use of project names, logos, and branding is also subject to TRADEMARK.md.

7. Attribution

For approved Commercial Use, you must provide visible attribution to VX6 in applicable product documentation, legal notices, or About pages, unless a signed commercial agreement states otherwise.

Minimum attribution text:

  • "This product includes VX6."

8. Disclaimer of Warranty

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VX6 IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO VX6 OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

10. Entire Commercial Understanding

These terms define the baseline commercial permission gate. Any approved Commercial Use requires a separate signed written agreement that may provide additional terms.
