## Bio

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, advised by [Claudia Solis-Lemus](https://solislemuslab.github.io/). During my PhD, I've worked on computational and statistical phylogenetics, and my research has focused on the development of methods that leverage deep learning for phylogenetic inference.  

**I will be defending my dissertation in the fall of 2026 and am looking for opportunities in data science following my graduation.** My main interests are in Bayesian statistics, data visualization, and deep learning; hopefully, I can find a job where I can do at least 2 out of the 3 :) Outside of work, I enjoy reading, biking, playing basketball, and watching the NBA.
