Should keep last state and return to it instead of normal consumption when charging based on prices

I'm running a sungrow SH10RT with attached batteries. When trying to optimize my power consumption with variable pricing (tibber), I came across a problem:

1. Consumption mode is set to "STOP", i.e. there is no power coming from the batteries
2. evcc starts charging either the batteries or my car due to low energy prices
3. When prices go up, evcc stops charging
4. But then sets consumption mode to allow discharging from the batteries

This is great in a summer setup, where the car is charged when prices are exceptionally low and you want to go back to running the house on battery power afterwards, but in winter this keeps me awake at night since I don't want to discharge the batteries just because energy prices went up a few cents, so have to change back to "STOP" mode after charging.

Is there something I'm missing?
