Install from repo or from the deb ?

Hi,
On latest linux mint, Is installing from repo (apt install opensnitch) better than installalling from the deb, for a long term workstation? How often is the packages on the Ubuntu repo updated?

The deb from the repo has been more tested than the one of github. It has some known bugs, but it should be more stable.

The one from github has latest changes, new features, etc, but may contain errors.
