bug: --smart-group not working as expected

I expect to see the input group mentioned in the output of eza, as the owner is root and the group is input.

• left: eza -l --smart-group /dev/input
• right: ls -l /dev/input

• Version: v0.21.3 [+git]
• Shell: zsh
• Terminal: Kitty
• OS: NixOS 25.05
• Arch: x86_64

I don't have any crash logs.
