Can compact feature of futures in Rust impl be removed? #622

Description

The compat feature of futures is used by futures v0.3 to interact with futures v0.1. I haven't found a place in the current Rust implementation where this feature is needed (or maybe I didn't read it carefully enough, and I'm worried about it). Does this mean that the compat feature can be removed?

Actually, I am trying to build a client for [NebulaGraph](https://github.com/vesoft-inc/nebula) that uses the Thrift protocol. I hope my dependencies can be reduced. If the compat feature is removed, I won't have to rely on futures v0.1 anymore:)
