Can you explain this syntax in the blog post?

This blog post has the ...colors syntax:

backgroundImage: `conic-gradient(from ${tokens.angle}, ...colors)`,

Can you explain how does it work? Or is it not supposed to work, it's just a very confusingly chosen notation for letting humans know to list their colors there?
