Amazon S3 and Cloudfront plugin results in heroku web dyno crashing

After activation of Amazon S3 and Cloudfront plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-s3-and-cloudfront/) and upon trying to access the plugin in the Worpress menu the heroku web dyno crashes
