Bug: False "Claude Code in tmux" warning shown in Vibe Notch UI on Ghostty terminal #102

Description

Bug: False "Claude Code in tmux" warning shown in Vibe Notch UI on Ghostty terminal

Environment

  • macOS: 26.5
  • Terminal: Ghostty
  • Vibe Notch version: v1.3.2

Describe the bug
Vibe Notch shows the message "Claude Code in tmux - Open to enable messaging" in its notch overlay UI, even though I am not using tmux. I'm running Claude Code directly in Ghostty.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Ghostty terminal
  2. Run Claude Code
  3. Vibe Notch notch UI shows "Claude Code in tmux - Open to enable messaging"

Verification
Confirmed tmux is not active:

$ echo $TMUX
(no output)

Expected behavior
No tmux warning should appear in the Vibe Notch UI when tmux is not being used.

Possible cause
Vibe Notch may be incorrectly detecting Ghostty as a tmux environment.
