[BUG]: References to other notes not working in Rich-text editor #529

@wein-geist

Description

@wein-geist

Describe the bug

When using @ symbol in rich-text-editor, it creates the dropdown suggestion of notes to reference to. this only works when you continue to type the exact name any word of your note-title, and the dropdown suggestions will update.

If you use the search field in this menu, the list only shows notes of my very first category. Not the ones from the sub-categories of the first category, not from any other categories. Searching for the exact name of the notes from other categories turns out empty.

this doesnt work

but this works instead

and interestingly, this works as well (starting with any word in the title, that isnt the first one)

So it does behave like a search, and not just auto-complete. therefore, as long as the user is aware of it, its fully functionable, but confusing.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. have categories, and maybe even subcategories in the first category, all populated with notes.
  2. use rich-text editor in new or existing note.
  3. start a line with @ and start searching for your note directly after the @.
  4. but use the searchbar of the dropdown window, and you will only get results from your first category.
