GemStone snippet raises exception on syntax error, instead of in-line explanation

Entering invalid smalltalk in to a GemStone snippet causes an exception to be raised. Instead it should explain the error in-line in the snippet, in the same manner as the Gt snippet, e.g. the following should happen:
