option to hide log messages

it would be nice to have an option in order to hide log messages

@felixmosh The issue is usually not that the library itself generates many log messages, but it's a cumulative problem over a broader set of libraries that do not have the option to set log levels. So you can end up easily with a flooded log, which makes finding what you need difficult. So even though this library only prints a single line for me, it would be really nice to have control over that.
