Currently most of the notebooks use local models, but in order to support computers with less memory, there should also be notebook-based examples of connecting to a local area network model.
Likely the best idea for this is to actually think through adding more advanced settings which can perform the API calls, but I think maybe there's more than one way of how to do this well.
