How to donate?

Pinkt on Android, Pinboard Pin on Firefox and Pinboard Plus on Chromium became daily companions in the information management workflow of many power users.

While many of us aren't programmers, thus can't prepare pull-requests for bug-fixing and additional functionality, we'd still like to show gratitude for your tremendous long-standing efforts and also encourage further development. Have you got a profile on a recurrent donations platform such as Liberapay, a PayPal account, IBAN or other means to receive financial support?

@ecogit your kind words and continued support as a user is the biggest sign of gratitude I can ever ask for. There's currently no way to support the development financially and honestly I don't think there will ever be. It started as a study playground combined with by my desired for a great looking app for Pinboard. Those things still drive me but nothing compares to this type of feedback.

Pinkt is one of my most used apps so a huge Thank You! I maintain over 11,000 links on Pinboard.

To learn new topics, I read articles and watch tons of YouTube tutorial videos that I index using the following:

1. Search/Subscribe to YT
2. Sync current video playing on my Smart TV or Amazon Firestick with YouTube on my phone.
3. On my phone, share the video link in YouTube and select Pinkt to tag and index it on Pinboard.

I remove the si=xxxx option that YT adds to the share URL as I suspect Google use this to track the account that shared it.

Now I've got a full indexed catalogue of tutorials on any subject area that I can go back to. This is gold!
YouTube now has the option to share a link at a specific time offset - perfect for Pinboard.

@tohagan thanks for pointing that out. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not looking for any kind of financial retribution. Creating FLOSS apps is my way of giving back to the community, and I plan to keep doing it for as long as I can (and enjoy 😄).

I truly appreciate your continued use of the app; it means so much to know it’s something you can rely on. You’ve also gave me an idea for a new feature: an optional setting to automatically exclude certain patterns from shared URLs. This could save you from having to do it manually, so keep an eye out for that coming soon 👀
