Medium previews result in captcha request

Purpose

I have tried to add a few links to Medium articles however their previews have all resulted in Cloudflare captcha requests. This isn't ideal for obvious reasons, would be nice to give them good preview text & images like everything else!

Deliverable

Medium links get nice thumbnails and titles? There seems to be nice opengraph tags available on their pages... Surely these exist for a reason?

This may very well be an unsolvable problem, I don't know what the root cause is and if it's not fixable by Slate then that's how it is! Hopefully not though :)
