Difficult to convert from MDM to Value

Description of Problem:

It's difficult to create MDM to Value converters, especially if you only want a simple converter for basic types. Ideally you'd be able to use dataToIR through some interface that accepts Data.

To be clear, is the issue that adding new basic types to ToMorphirValue is difficult?
