Hi guys. Thanks for responding in #262. Could you please tell the status of this? Any workarounds or versions where it is not reproduced available?

You can always merge the provider info manually after linking a provider. Fetch the user's display name and photo URL from the provider.

How could I know which provider was used?

You'll have to check the providerData array on the FIRUser object.

Thank you for taking the time to submit this feature request.

A new release is planned shortly for SwiftUI native Auth that replaces the previous Auth FirebaseUI, which should resolve this request.

In any event, a similar solution would probably be relevant to the one suggested, using providerData to update photoURL and displayName using methods on AuthService.updateUserPhotoURL() & AuthService.updateUserDisplayName().

In the meantime, we will close this issue, if this is not resolved in the new version - please feel free to create a new issue.
