Issue with payment plan

I want to make a one month subscription, I am at the beginner's level. I am still trying to grab a hang of how it all works, why is there no monthly subscription, why do you force your subscribers to go for a one year plan? I need a solution to this so as to get started with my learning as I can do almost nothing with the free plan.
