Description
Feature Description
Add an option to automatically apply a thin border around the entire screenshot.
Proposed behavior:
-
A configurable checkbox in settings: “Add border to screenshot”
-
Border applied after capture, before saving/copying.
-
Configurable parameters:
-
Border width (e.g. default: 2 px)
-
Border color:
-
Solid white
-
Fully transparent
-
Custom color (optional extension)
-
-
-
Border applies to:
-
Region captures
-
Active window captures
-
Active monitor / full screen captures
-
Why this matters:
-
Borders improve visual separation when screenshots are placed on white or dark backgrounds (documentation, messengers, issue trackers).
-
A 1–2 px border is a common requirement for technical documentation.
-
Avoids post-processing in external editors for a trivial operation.
-
Windows 11 “Snipping Tool” already provides this as a one-click option, proving the practicality of the feature.
This should be a simple, optional, non-intrusive enhancement that improves output quality and reduces manual editing steps.
