listhero server still acitve? If not, could you help me get a self hosted instance running?

I've been noticing for a few days that a few instances of listhero (phone, laptop, wife's phone) aren't synchronizing.

ListHero is a true gem and we've come to rely on it for shopping and organizing. I very much appreciate you keeping the service stable these past few years. I suspect that we are some of only a few users.

Are you still in a position to support the server? If not would you be able to answer questions and be a resource to me as I stand up the server and migrate our client instances to work on a self hosted instance?

Hi @bnfinet , the (free) service I used for hosting the database went down unfortunately. I can bring it back this weekend, but the data got deleted so you would need to create a new account.

I will investigate whether there is a way to restore the data from your local state. I will update this ticket later today.

@bnfinet As promised I fixed the server - it should work again. However, as the database was lost it's unfortunately not possible to automatically restore a previous state of an account. If you visit listhero now and refresh a few times, it will reset your account.

So to save existing data, do the following:

• Go offline with your computer
• Visit listhero.de
• For each list: Click the top right menu and select "Copy" - then paste the contents in a text editor
• Go online again
• Reload the listhero.de tab a few times - after a while the cache should be busted and an empty listhero account will load
• Recreate your lists
• Re-sync other devices (they will not sync again automatically)

Log and suggestions will be lost unfortunately. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm still using listhero myself, so the server should stay up. However, happy to help in case you want to host yourself.
