KNOWN ISSUE / SOLUTION AVAILABLE. Unable to start (Failed to connect to socket / Missing X Server)

Podman Desktop stopped running on my machine yesterday. I didn't check the logs until the 1.12 update (hoping it would fix the issue), but the problem was already present with version 1.11.1. So, I don't think the issue was caused by the latest Podman update but rather by an Fedora update.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or is it just my machine?

After #48 it only works without Wayland for me: flatpak run --nosocket=wayland io.podman_desktop.PodmanDesktop

I could confirm this error happen to me too, and @239 workaround works!

Hi all, pushed the PR here: #52

Unfortunatley switching to wayland as default is causing issues, so we are reverting back to x11.

Anyone else having this issue, please confirm that the PR (you'll see the comment regarding to "test install") fixes your issue.

I can confirm that the last update fixed the issue. Running with @239 workaround also worked with the previous
