Overview

#978 tracks my making an initial logo. But I'm not a graphic/logo designer and cannot do a very good job at this. Someone who actually knows design should take a deep dive on Flint and come up with a holistic design strategy.

The general thoughts I have to start are: I'd like the Flint branding to convey coming around a friendly, warm campfire. It's a mix of excitement to be with friends, exploration of the wild, and a feeling of "home" that you can relax. I.e. it's in many ways the opposite of the angular, jagged, "ouch" feeling many developers get from linters / overall dev tooling.

Vibe keywords: approachable, bold, enthusiastic, fun, friendly.

Additional Info

Assigning to myself because this is not something a random person can come in from the internet and send a PR on. It'll require a lot of back-and-forth collaboration with me. Retargeting to be just the general branding based on #3258. If and when that goes in, I'll file a followup about making a new version of the logo that's both cleaned up and more aligned to the style of the website.
