How to delete unwanted (hidden?) duplicate bookmarks ?

Trimming some old bookmarks in Firefox... But often when I go to unstar the bookmark, I'm informed I'm deleting multiple (typically 2) bookmarks? Huh?

Can I edit the XBEL file to clear up this silliness?

I have ~600 dupes. Here's what I see in a bookmark checker...

If I delete either of these, the bookmark disappears from my browser.

Just FYI... but I have no mobile clients linked to floccus, only Win 11 browsers on PCs.

Huh, this is a new one. Are you syncin the root folder? Then you could try removing the bookmarks in "Mobile Bookmarks" from the xbel (unless you sync it end-to-end encrypted). Are you logged into Firefox sync in your browser and have enabled Bookmark sync there, perhaps?

Was able to reproduce this on my prod instance with Firefox. It seems to be a firefox feature to duplicate bookmarks into the Mobile Bookmarks folder? I don't think floccus is doing this.

I'm unsure of that. After locating a bookmark extension that could selectively remove mobile bookmarks, things seem "stable" over the past few days,
