How complex is that under the hood?

Would be particularly handy for some of the NMF stuff where amount of inlets can be dynamic/weird.

Don't really know what your question is, but to make define work you just put it in a text file kinda like init.txt for packages.

Ah right, I was assuming from the FR that something needed to happen in the code. You're just requesting that some defines are included in the package?

What kind of defines do you have in mind?

It's a shame you can't make defines as abstraction-y thing as I use a fusion of fluid.ampfeature~ and some gen~ that's the "onset/offset" bit of fluid.ampgate~ all the time (wanting the hysteresis of ampslice but the offsets of ampgate), as at that point you've just made an abstraction...
