Some kind of loading-bar alternative.
Essentially an animated progressive development, like an orbital completing, or a galaxy point cloud being generated from nothing through to "complete". Done in a stylised fashion.
I'm actually thinking of having it entirely generated from simple procedural elements so that nothing needs to be loaded before it begins.
Of course the text and an actual loading bar can/should remain to prevent any confusion plus the in-gag is nice ;)
