Add FluxDown - Multi-protocol download manager (open-source IDM alternative) #777

Description

Following Step 1 of CONTRIBUTING.md — raising an issue before opening a PR.

Project

FluxDownhttps://github.com/zerx-lab/FluxDown

  • License: AGPL-3.0
  • Stars: ~1k
  • Actively maintained (latest stable release 0.2.3; commits this month, so well inside the "updated in the last 3 years" requirement)
  • Platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, NAS (Docker) and Android
  • Website: https://fluxdown.zerx.dev

FluxDown is a cross-platform, multi-protocol download manager built as a free and open-source alternative to Internet Download Manager. The UI is Flutter; the download engine is Rust + Tokio.

Highlights:

  • IDM-style dynamic segmentation — segments split at runtime and idle connections are re-tasked to rescue slow ones
  • HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, BitTorrent (DHT / magnet), eD2K, HLS and DASH in a single client
  • Browser extensions for Chrome, Edge and Firefox with a three-layer download interception engine
  • Resume across crashes and reboots, backed by SQLite with WAL
  • Global token-bucket speed limiting, named queues, system tray integration
  • Light/dark themes, 13 colour schemes, responsive three-pane layout
  • No ads, no telemetry, no account required

Question before I open the PR

I couldn't decide between two categories, and both already have a download manager in them, so I'd rather you pick:

  • Tools & Utilities — this is where Gopeed sits ("A modern download manager that supports all platforms"). Alphabetically FluxDown would go between Floating Volume and Frigoligo.
  • Network, Bluetooth & Sharing — this is where Brisk sits ("Fast, multithreaded, cross-platform download manager"). Alphabetically FluxDown would go between Destiny and foldie.

Let me know which one you'd prefer and I'll send the PR against that section right away. Happy to take any wording changes to the description too.
