Nav lines and nav tracking goes away after inputting arrival

Describe the bug

After inputting STAR arrival and runway selection to flight plan, nav mode green line goes away and AP in nav mode fails to track the nav line. After passing waypoints (after needing to input a direct-to), FMA fails to track to the next waypoint or regress into HDG mode, ND doesn't show the distance to the next waypoint on top right, but stays on the same waypoint it passed and shows distance from it (from behind).

Expected behavior

NAV lines and navigation should stay normal after amending or adding STAR arrival routes.

It's happened for the last couple of dev version updates, not fixed. I think I raised this on discord last time but now making a proper issue here.

UPDATE:
Entering 'new destination' (I entered EGLL after the last fix in flight plan, also initial fix SIRIC for STAR), it all comes back again and stays in place after entering STAR arrival and runway selection, including TOD calculated point. Note that it seems to only work if i don't input a via, with the via it all goes away again
