OnBeginningReached equivalent

Hello,

I sometimes have to jump in to a certain section of a chat that's like 1 months old for example. The user can check older messages with onEndReached but is there a way to trigger loading newer messages as the user scrolls up? so the opposite of onEndReached.

Hey, no way of doing that as of right now. I can add this to a backlog, but not very high as this is first time in 5 years I hear someone requesting this :) I can also accept a PR if you'd like to open one.

Thank you for clarifying that, I wanted to make sure I didn't miss it lol

I'd love to make a PR but I have to finalize the current approach I have, I use the bottom widget and add there a load more widget that would trigger loading the messages. The thing is that it has to play nice with the stream I use for new messages.

Hm, now that I think about it, I guess it's just a matter of adding the parameter and duplicating the mechanism that takes care of onEndReached for the bottom bit. Then letting the user handle it by shutting off the stream whenever they see fit(when there are no more new msgs for example), I'll try to make a PR as soon as I can then!:)
