Description
When using the full catalogue available (Landsat 5/7/8/9, Sentinel-2), certain areas show poor coregistration with a clearly systematic shift to the SE. This occurs even after running AROSICS with generous restrictions. It seems to occur more in older images, though exists all the way through to 2024. Potential approaches to fix:
- Check the metadata of each image to see if any coregistration or error information exists within GEE, and discard images above a certain error
- Run AROSICS, and then discard any veg edges and waterlines (before intersecting with transects) which diverge from a known reference (hard rock or urban feature)
- Check AROSICS to see if any enhancements to the settings can be made
- Investigate exporting of TIFs and georef settings to make sure it's not a pixel/scale related bug
