Possible ways to improve the visualisation/interpretability of query results agains the constrast DB:

Additional plots for visualising the distribution of hits / the top hits

• Rank plot (score as a function of the rank index).
• Visualization of ZScores on a DimRed visualisation of the contrast DB (UMAP/TSNE)
• Delta-Delta plots between query contrast and top hits from the contrast DB.
• ...

Interpretability visualizations.

Assuming #2 (extended annotation of the contrast DB) where each contrast is associated with standard gene names / MeSH terms:

• Visualization of gene networks using the genes associated with the topN identified contrasts (e.g using STRING).
