spectator particles lost on devel-pre3 branch causes memory error

[egstern]

A devel-pre3 Synergia IOTA simulation with spectator particles crashes in circular aperture. Making the aperture radius very large so no particles get lost lets the simulation complete. Not populating any spectator particles so there are no losses there also allows the simulation to complete.
