Visual mode

i can't enter viusal mode. which means i can't highlight a section of words to copy

What do you mean exactly? lazy.nvim doesn't change anything to visual mode (or any mode for that matter)

It should be mapped to v and if you wait long enough which key will pop a window with other keys that you can use to select sections of words. The status line at the bottom will also denote whether or not you are in normal or visual mode.
