A few more things to check:

• Make sure you've provided detailed steps to reproduce your issue, as well as all error messages that you see.
  • A repository that clearly demonstrates the bug is ideal.
  • Error messages can be found in the Problems Tab, Output Tab, and from running Developer: Toggle Developer Tools in the command palette.

I can confirm, that I am also affected.

❌ No "Apex Tests" in the native VS Code test explorer visible
❌ Running test from Apex class gives "command 'sf.apex.test.method.run.delegate' not found"

I started noticing the issue roughly 10-20 minutes ago. This aligns with the commit history ...

/edit: Issue can by fixed by manually installing salesforce.salesforcedx-vscode-apex-testing - this extension is not yet listed in my "Extension Pack" (but apparently, apex extension lost the capabilities to execute tests)

Chiming in here because I am also getting the error. There is another issue open with the same issue
Fo me, it started yesterday after I enabled Agentforce, which I falsely assumed broke my environment.

I have completely uninstalled everything related to Salesforce in my development environment and reinstalled. I followed the CLI dev guidelines to reinstall everything

SF Extension Pack (Expanded)

Should be something like

code --install-extension salesforce.salesforcedx-vscode-apex-testing

Hi everyone, yes, as mentioned in #6705, in last release of the extensions we moved all apex testing related commands into a separate extension called Apex Testing. As a workaround while we release the fix (should be done later today), you can download it, install and reload vscode and should be good to go. Sorry for the inconveniences!

We have just released the fix (Apex Testing Extension is now part of both the extension pack and the expanded. If you update you should be good!
